1. Click on Start.
2. Click on Programs.

4. Click on Internet Tools.
5. Click on Get on The Internet or Internet Setup Wizard.

Service Provider Information
10. Type in BCI for Name of Service Provider - click Next

11. Type in 315 for the Area Code and a number Local to you: 237-3500,
612-5800 for Auburn or 233-3500, 579-5800 for Syracuse.
12. Click Next

13. Type in your username@bci.net
and your Password - Click Next
IP Address
14. Select the My ISP Automatically Assigns Me One option button -
Click Next
DNS Server Address
15. Type in 209.2.141.2 for the DNS Server
16 Type in 205.232.46.2 for the Alternate DNS Server - Click Next
Internet Mail
17. Make sure there is a checkmark in the Use Internet Mail box
18. Type in your email address - username@bci.net
19. Type in the name of the mail server - mail.bci.net - Click Next
Windows Messaging Profile
20. Make sure the Profile says Internet Mail Settings
21 Make sure there is a check mark in the Use This Profile When Using Messaging
22. Click Next
Complete Configuration
23. Click on Finish

Mail Settings for Bibbens Communications
Internet Mail w/ Internet Explorer version 3.x
1. Open Internet Mail (Start, Programs,
Internet Mail)
2. In the menu bar, click on Mail and then Options
3. Click on the Send tab, and make sure that Send Messages Immediately has a
check mark.
4. Click on the Server tab, and enter the following settings:
Name : Your Name
Organization : Business Name, if applicable
Email Address : your username@bci.net
example: johnnygt@bci.net
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) : mail.bci.net
Incoming Mail (POP3) : mail.bci.net
POP3 Account : your username@bci.net
Password : your password
Note:All of the
above settings must be entered in lower case, accept for the Name and Organization.
5. Click on the
Connection tab.
6. Make sure you choose I use a modem to access my e-mail
7. Under Use the following dial-up connection, choose your dialer from the drop down menu
list. Most likely called BCI.
To Send Mail:
1. Click on the New Message button.
2. Fill out the address, subject, and message
3. Click on the envelope at the far left of the message composition window to send the
message
To Check your Mail:
1. Make sure your folder is on the Inbox
2. If it isn’t, click the arrow to drop down the list of folders, and select Inbox
3. Click on the Send and Receive Button.
