[School at Site] [School at Site] You should have seen the eyebrows raise as a 500Hp eight wheel drive International farm tractor pulled the Franklin District #12 One-room schoolhouse down mainstreet to its new home on Route 34B just 1/2 block south of Route 90.


[School at Site] [School at Site] [School at Site] Although the work was hard, lots of friendly volunteers made raising day for our Pioneer Threshing Barn c1810 an exciting event.

The restored barn is a big part of our annual old fashioned wheat harvest.


[School at Site] [Horse Drawn Wagon Ride] [School at Site]"Loads" of fun was had at last year's Annual Wheat Harvest.
This year on August 7th the NYS Draft Horse club will have 3 teams cutting and binding 5 acres of wheat and 2 Teams offering free wagon rides. In addition the King Ferry Community Association hosts a Genuine Old Fashoned Parade, Lots of Live music, Featuring the Historic Waterways Music by The Bottom Feeders plenty of food and many craft booths. [School at Site] [harowwmn] [School at Site] Our Rural Life - Farm Family exhibit in the Threshing Barn will examine the statement: "The farmer is a combination of BusinessMan, Mechanic, Naturalist, and Laborer." by G.F.Warren in 1918 an early Cornell Professor of Farm Management.
