You should have seen the eyebrows raise as a 500Hp eight wheel drive International farm
tractor pulled the Franklin District #12 One-room schoolhouse down mainstreet to
its new home on Route 34B just 1/2 block south of Route 90. ![[School at Site]](gif/coldbarn.gif)
Although the work was
hard, lots of friendly volunteers made raising day for our Pioneer Threshing Barn c1810
an exciting event.

Our Rural Life - Farm Family exhibit in the Threshing Barn will
examine the statement: "The farmer is a combination of BusinessMan, Mechanic,
Naturalist, and Laborer." by G.F.Warren in 1918 an early Cornell Professor of Farm
Management. The GHA Board meets frequently to discuss our other agendas
