What's It All About?
|
This event is held annually to raise money for our homeless animals
residing at our shelter as they await their new families. With operating costs increasing, this
fundraiser is vitally important to our success. We feel by presenting an informational and educational
venue for animal lovers, everyone will benefit and enjoy a fun-filled day of activities for their
family and pets.
The festival begins with our Group Pet Walk at 12:15pm After checking in at the
registration table where walkers turn in their pledge forms and donations, each registered walker will
receive a card which will be updated at each check-point along the walk with a fun clue.
They collect all five clues and make a guess for a prize! Upon returning walkers can enjoy
an afternoon filled with demonstrations, exhibits, contests, raffles, pet vendors, breed
rescues, face painting, caricatures, music and great food. This year our festival is
featuring Janet Ridgeway, Animal Communicator.
Remember... you don't have to participate in the Pet Walk, just come enjoy the festival. |
Pet Walk Goals |
Our last Pet Walk raised approximately $14,000 for the animals. This year we
hope to increase that amount to $25,000 (or more) with your help. Get your co-workers and
friends involved. Form a team! |
