E-mail Settings for @BALDCOM.NET

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Outlook Express 5 & 6 , Outlook 2000 (Windows)

  1. Open Outlook Express. Click the Tools menu and choose Accounts.
  2. Click the Mail tab. Highlight your BCI mail account and click the Properties button.
  3. On the General Tab make sure your email address is youremail@baldcom.net
  4. Click the Server tab. 
  5. In the Server Information section, make sure Incoming and Outgoing mail are set to mail.baldcom.net
  6. In the Outgoing Mail Server section, check the box for "My server requires authentication".
  7. Click "OK".
  8. Click "OK" to return to "Internet Accounts", and close the window.

MS Outlook XP/2002 (Windows)

  1. From the Outlook "Tools" menu, choose "E-mail Accounts". 
  2. Choose "View or change existing e-mail accounts". 
  3. Click "Next"
  4. Click to highlight your BCI email account, and click "Change". 
  5. In the "User Information section", in Your Name type your name
    and in E-Mail Address type in youremail@baldcom.net
  6. In the "Logon Information" section, be sure the first part of your email address is entered correctly.
  7. In the "Server Information" section, make sure  Incoming and Outgoing mail servers are set to:  mail.baldcom.net 
  8. Click the "More Settings..." button.
  9. Now click the "Outgoing Server" index-tab.
  10. Put a check in "My outgoing server requires authentication".
  11. Put a check in "Use same settings as my incoming mail server".
  12. Click "OK". 
  13. Click "Next", and then "Finish".

Netscape 7

  1. Start from your "Mail & Newsgroups"window in Netscape or Mozilla
  2. If you're starting in the Web browser window, just go to the "Window" menu and select "Mail & Newsgroups".(In Netscape 6 only, it's the "Tasks" menu.) 
  3. From the Mail & Newsgroups window, go to the "Edit" menu and select "Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings".
  4. A new window will appear. 
  5. On the Right. Make sure your e-mail address is youremail@baldcom.net
  6. Now in the Left Side Select SERVER SETTINGS by clicking on SERVER SETTINGS once.
  7. Under Server Name section at the right:
    Enter mail.baldcom.net
  8. Under User Name section at the right:
    Enter your email address: youremail@baldcom.net
  9. Now in the Left Side Select OUTGOING SERVER (SMTP) by clicking on OUTGOING SERVER (SMTP) once.
  10. Under Server Name section at the right:
    Enter mail.baldcom.net
  11. Put a Check in USE NAME AND PASSWORD
  12. After User Name Type in your email address: youremail@baldcom.net
  13. Under Use secure connection select NO
  14. Click OK

Netscape 4.7

  1. Open Netscape. Click the Edit menu and choose Preferences.
  2. Select Identity by clicking on Identity once.
  3. In the Identity section at the right:
    Enter your e-mail address youremail@baldcom.net
  4. Select the Mail Servers category under Mail & Newsgroups. You may need to click the plus (+) sign next to Mail & Newsgroups first.
  5. On the Right Under Incoming Mail Servers make sure it is mail.baldcom.net
  6. If the Incoming Mail Server listed is incorrect select it then click on the "Edit" button and make it: mail.baldcom.net
  7. If there is NO mail server listed then add an Incoming Mail Server by clicking the "Add" button. Again make sure it is as follows: mail.baldcom.net
  8. After Adding or Editing the Incoming Mail Server Name: mail.baldcom.net
    Enter the User Name: youremail
    You can also check "Remember password" if you like.
    When finished, click the "OK" button
  9. In the "Outgoing Mail Server" section at the right.
    Enter the SMTP Server: mail.baldcom.net
    Enter the SMTP user name: youremail
    Use Secure Socket Layer should be: never Then click the "OK" button in the Bottom Right Corner.
  10. Click OKagain

Mozilla Thunderbird

  1. Open Mozilla.
  2. Click on Tools menu and choose Account Settings.
  3. On the Right.
  4. Make sure your e-mail address is youremail@baldcom.net
  5. Now in the Left Side Select SERVER SETTINGS by clicking on SERVER SETTINGS once.
  6. Under Server Name section at the right:
    Enter mail.baldcom.net
  7. Under User Name section at the right:
    Enter your email address: youremail@baldcom.net
  8. Now in the Left Side Select OUTGOING SERVER (SMTP) by clicking on OUTGOING SERVER (SMTP) once.
  9. Under Server Name section at the right:
    Enter mail.baldcom.net
  10. Put a Check in USE NAME AND PASSWORD
  11. After User Name Type in your email address: youremail@baldcom.net
  12. Under Use secure connection select NO
  13. Click OK

Outlook Express 5 (Macintosh)

  1. Open Outlook Express. Click the Tools menu and select Accounts.
  2. Click the index-tab labeled "Mail".
  3. Highlight your BCI mail account and click Edit.
  4.  In the "Receiving mail" section, make sure your "POP3 server" is mail.baldcom.net
  5.  In the "Sending mail" section, make sure your "SMTP server" is mail.baldcom.net
  6. Click where it says "Click here for advanced sending options".
    Check "SMTP server requires authentication".
    If your "Account ID" under "Receiving mail" is your Baldcom.net mail account, you can leave "Use same settings as incoming mail server" checked. Otherwise, click "Log on using" and enter your Baldcom.net mail account ID and password
  7. Close the "Advanced options" windowpane, and click "OK".
  8. Close the "Accounts" window

OS X Mail (Macintosh)

  1. From the Mail program's "Mail" menu, choose "Preferences".
    A new window will appear, entitled "Accounts".
    (If it doesn't say "Accounts", click the Accounts icon.)
  2. Click to highlight your BCI email account, and click "Edit".
  3. In "Email Address" type in: youremail@baldcom.net.
  4. In "Full Name" type in: your full name.
  5. In "Incoming Mail Server" type in: mail.baldcom.net
  6. Make sure "Outgoing Mail Server" says "mail.baldcom.net".
  7. Click "Options..."
    • Change "Authentication" to "Password".
    • Type your BCI mail account username in ":UserName".
    • If you wish, type your password.
    • Click "OK".
  8. Click "OK" to return to your list of accounts, and close the window
